Wrestling Match In Iowa Lasts 13 Hours – Possible World Record
The term “broadway” in professional wrestling refers to a match that goes an hour. Ironman matches typically go an hour with the winner having won more falls then the loser within the time limit. David Starr has made it known that he wrestled a match for 102 minutes. All of these things pale in comparison when put up against a recent match at Rugged Pro in Marshalltown, Iowa.
“K9” Casey Bernard, Thunder Lizard, “Timeless” Tyler Jones and “Rebel” Evan Roberts competed in a four way match this last week, and the match finished after 13 hours.
The winner of the exhaustive battle was Thunder Lizard, who is now known as the 13 hour man.
This is the longest match in professional wrestling history. It isn’t a verified world record yet because Guinness Book of World Records has a match from Ohio recorded at 12 hours.
The longest professional wrestling matchlasted 12 hours and was promoted by Shockwave Impact Wrestling (USA) as the Ultimate Iron Man Match at the Shelby County Fairgrounds in Sidney, Ohio, USA, on 6 November 2010.
Guinness Book of World Records
Once this marathon match gets submitted I’m sure we will have a verified world record on our hands. Even though Thunder Lizard won, all four of these men should be considered Iron Men.
