Tampa Delays WrestleMania Cancellation Decision To Next Week
The coronavirus outbreak has caused many wrestling events to be cancelled and WrestleMania 36 might be no exception.
The city of Tampa met recently in order to talk about possibly postponing WrestleMania. Their decision was to meet again next week and assess the situation then.
According to a report by Tony Maglio, the committee will hold a meeting in one week in order to decide whether they will postpone WrestleMania 36 or not.
City of Tampa will be meeting again in 7 days from today at 1:30 p.m. ET. #Wrestlemania36 to be discussed again then, if WWE itself doesn’t pull the plug within the next week. (Or I suppose an overarching mandate doesn’t make WWE’s and Tampa’s decision for them.)
For now, the event is scheduled to go on as planned. However, other events will be cancelled. The Governor of Florida sent a recommendation for all Florida events to be cancelled for the next 30 days.
