Ronda Rousey Says “F*ck These Fans, Dude.” – No Plans To Return To WWE Full-Time
Ronda Rousey has been away from the WWE since last year, and he return to the company had been a highly anticipated one for fans. However, it looks as though the former UFC and WWE Champion has no interest in returning to the company full-time.
Rousey was recently a guest on Steve-O’s “Wild Ride Podcast”, where she talked about her time in WWE and what the future holds for the former Women’s Champ. Rousey stated that she has no plans to return to the company on a full-time basis, even blaming the fans by saying “At the end of the day, I was just like, ‘F*ck these fans, dude.’ My family loves me and they appreciate me and I want all my energy to go into them.”
Rousey stated:
“Well, if I ever do come back it will never be at a full-time capacity ever again. I think like for stints like chunks of time you know. I’m very much like an obsessive person or I like to obsess over something for a certain time and then like kind of go take some time to obsess about something else. But no I’m never gonna be full time again over 200 days a year on the road like that ever again because it’s just it was I needed to do it in order to learn and get like immersed into it and really understand what was going on but it’s just not the lifestyle for me.”
Rousey went on to talk more about her run with WWE stating:
“I love the WWE. I had such a great time. I love all the girls in the locker room. Running out there and having fake fights for fun is just the best thing. I love choreography. I love acting. I love theatre. Live theater and some of the last forms of live theatre. But, I was doing basically part-time and I was away from home 200 days out of the year. And when I did get home, I was so sleep deprived cause you just don’t have time to lay down.”
In addition, Rousey revealed that she learned that she had a broken vertebrae in her neck prior to signing with the WWE during her medical exams. She went on to talk about how this played into her decision to take time off.
“If I did all of the live shows, I was only home a day and a half a week. It was just not worth it for my family because we were eliminating all of our expenses and living this lifestyle, we didn’t need it. We didn’t need the money.
So it’s just like … what am I doing it for if I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of f*cking ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me? I love performing. I love the girls. I love being out there … but, at the end of the day, I was just like, ‘F*ck these fans, dude.’ My family loves me and they appreciate me and I want all my energy to go into them. So that was my decision at the end of the day. It’s like, ‘Hey girls. Love what you’re doing. I’m gonna try and take all my momentum and push you guys as far as I can … fly little birds, fly! I’m going f*cking home!’ And that was basically it.”
Ronda went on to state that if she ever does plan on returning to the WWE that it would not be in a full-time capacity, and that it would only be for “short chunks of time.”
