For those not familiar, Dr. Martha Hart is the widow of Owen Hart. Over the years, there’s been this negative perception about Dr. Hart and the handling of Owen Hart’s legacy, with a lot of fans telling her to allow Owen Hart to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Owen Hart Foundation
In December of 2000 Dr. Martha Hart announced the opening of the Owen Hart Foundation in a way to honor Owen’s memory.
The foundation focuses on providing scholarships for kids in need; housing for low incoming families, while also supporting charities in the Calgary community.
The Owen Hart Foundation has been the best way to honor the memory and legacy of Owen Hart. People should not ignore the good this foundations has done since its inception.
Recently, it was announced that PW tees would officially distribute Owen Hart merchandise and with the proceedings going to the Owen Hart Foundation.
If you are a fan of Owen Hart’s work, there’s no better way to honor his memory than donating to this incredible foundation that has done outstanding work since its inception.
The WWE Hall of Fame
On a recent interview with CBS Sports Dr. Martha Hart said: “There’s always been this talk that, ‘Oh, we want to put Owen in the Hall of Fame.’ Their Hall of Fame? They don’t even have a Hallway of Fame. It doesn’t exist. There’s nothing. It’s a fake entity. There’s nothing real or tangible. It’s just an event they have to make money. They put it on TV and have a celebration, and it’s just so ridiculous. I would never even entertain it. It’s garbage.”
Dr. Martha Hart’s opinion about the WWE Hall of Fame is not wrong, its not really a hall of fame and is just an event were WWE makes profits and not about celebrating the careers of those who get inducted.
WWE should not make a profit out of Owen Hart’s name especially considering they are responsable for his death.
Dark Side of the Ring
On the season finale of Dark Side of the Ring will focus on the tragic death of Owen. This will also present the opportunity for Dr. Martha Hart to present to people her reasoning of not allowing Owen Hart to the WWE Hall of Fame and ending this negative perception people have of her.
Dark Side of the Ring’s season finale will take place tonight at 10 PM E.T. on Vice TV.
