Exclusive: Update On Britt Baker’s Injury And Potential Status For AEW’s Double Or Nothing PPV
AEW Star Britt Baker has been in the middle of a program with Women’s Champion Nyla Rose for months. Nyla will be defending her title this weekend at AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV against Hikaru Shida, but the Native Beast has also been in the crosshairs of Dr. Britt Baker.
On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Nyla Rose and Britt Baker were teammates as they faced Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander in tag team competition.
During the match there was a spot which saw Nyla Rose powerbombed onto Britt Baker. The spot didn’t go as planned, as Nyla landed on Baker’s knee instead of her midsection.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez stated that “the belief last night was that it was a torn ACL.” It was also noted that Baker is still waiting for an MRI.

I reached out to my sources within AEW today and inquired about Britt Baker’s health status following her injury on last night’s episode of Dynamite, and was told that she had her knee heavily wrapped up today and that it hurts pretty bad. I also asked about her status for Double Or Nothing and if she would be able to wrestle, and was told “personally I doubt she will be good.. but who knows.”
If Baker did indeed suffer a torn ACL, the injury could potentially keep her out of action for around nine months.
Currently her status for this Saturday night’s AEW Double Or Nothing PPV and her match against Kris Statlander is unknown.
