Since suffering a concussion while filming the WWE Raw “It Must Be Monday” commercial, Samoa Joe has been out of action and a part of the WWE Raw Announce team.
Samoa Joe’s status was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave Meltzer noted that Joe is still out of action due to concussion, and that he is still waiting for medical clearance. It was also mentioned that Joe has suffered a few concussions and that is “not a good thing.”
He went on to state that Samoa Joe is “far too valuable as a wrestler” to end up serving as a full-time announcer. WWE’s current roster depth issue, and the need it creates for somebody like Joe was also pointed out.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about Samoa Joe and his medical status.
