Update On The Current Status Of WWE’s SummerSlam PPV Card
WWE is will be holding their SummerSlam PPV on August 23rd, however the location will be from the Performance Center instead of Boston as originally planned.
But before that WWE’s next PPV will be “The Horror Show at Extreme Rules”. Drew McIntyre is set to defend the WWE Title against Dolph Ziggler in a match that will feature “a stipulation never seen before” according to Ziggler. It has been assumed that Drew McIntyre will be going over Ziggler on his way to SummerSlam.
It has been rumored that the next opponent for Drew McIntyre after Ziggler will be Randy Orton. But apparently, WWE isn’t booking that far in advance.
According to a report from Ringside News, currently Vince McMahon is only focused on booking for “The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.” It was added that he hasn’t even given much of a thought as far as the SummerSlam card yet.
It was said that there are some loose ideas being thrown around, but that “all plans are subject to change on a moment’s notice.” In addition, it was stated that at this juncture, “I wouldn’t say that anything is the plan.”
RSN had also previously reported that WWE gave a complete and total line-up overhaul to the card for “The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.”
