Cody Rhodes’ reign as AEW TNT Champion has so far brought with it some stellar matches through his weekly open challenge. Plenty of the best mid card talent on offer have thrown their name into the hat, but this week promises to be a big one. Tony Khan has a big name lined up to take on The American Nightmare.
Cody Rhodes revealed that Tony Khan, QT Marshall, and Arn Anderson are the committee who get to decide which superstars get a TNT Title shot. Cody does have some say on the matter but the ultimate decision comes down to those three men. Tony Khan recrntly tweeted to say that he has secured “one of the top independent wrestlers in the world” to be Cody’s opponent on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday night.
It is worth nothing that last week, Arn Anderson asked Cody what he thought about “that Warhorse kid.” Within a matter of hours, #CodyFearsWarhorse wss trending on Twitter courtesy of Warhorse’s fans. We’ll have to wait and see exactly who shows up on to fsce Cody on AEW Dynamite this week. It must be somebody huge if Khan is hoping it to the level he is.
