Aleister Black NOT Being Written Off WWE RAW?

Aleister Black is the talk of the town right now, but all may not be as it seems. This weeks episode of WWE RAW saw Black again take a beating from Seth Rollins and Murphy as they targeted his eye because that’s apparently all they do now. Reports have been circulating that Black is of no interest to Vince McMahon, but nobody knows this for certain.

It was previously reported that Black has been written off television via last nights attack and that Vince McMahon isn’t fond of his current gimmick. The eye angle followed by a vicious curb stomp at ringside was said to be the last we would see of Black for a while.

Ringside News have now learnt that the reality is sitting somewhere in limbo. Black was certainly the victim of an injury angle at the hands of Rollins, but contrary to popular belief he is not being written off television. The attack from Rollins and Murphy gives Black the potential to go after either man and face off with them at SummerSlam. Vince McMahon’s feelings towards Black are said to not be negative, but he does have reservations that the former NXT Champion lacks something in his character to appeal to a wider audience.

A member of WWE’s backstage creative team with knowledge of the situation commented on the reports asking –

“Can’t both ‘Aleister is not being written off TV’ and ‘Vince thinks he lacks something for wider appeal’ be true at the same time?”

Right now, WWE can’t afford to lose and misuse Superstars of Black’s calibre. Ratunfs are at an all time low and so many Superstars are out of commission for various reasons. Black could be in for an overhall if he is indeed kept off TV for a while, but there is no reason why the popular Superstar can’t be used properly while this is done and remain on our screens.
