UFC on ESPN 14 – Whittaker vs Till Viewership

This past weekend the UFC had the final stop on the current “Fight Island” tour at the Flash Forum on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi which was headlined by a high stakes middleweight affair that saw Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker defeat Darren “The Gorilla” Till by unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47) to put him one step closer to regaining the coveted middleweight championship.

The UFC on ESPN 14 Main Card drew 908,000 viewers as reported by David Tees of Fightful.com which also had Bellator 242 take place on the same weekend, granted the weekend ended with the UFC Main Card.

Assisting that figure was the fact the card had 4 former UFC champions fighting (Robert Whittaker, Fabricio Werdum, Shogun Rua & Carla Esparza) not to mention perennial light heavyweight title challenger Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson as well as the final fight in the career of Antonia Rogerio Nogueira.

The eight fight prelim card was headlined by Francisco Trinaldo besting Jai Herbert via TKO in a catchweight bout as Trinaldo missed weight by 4 pounds which garnered 483,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting.
