Excalibur Was Present In Jacksonville For AEW Dynamite Before Being Pulled From Broadcast
On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Excalibur was noticeably missing from the commentary team. He was replaced by Taz, which seemingly comes after old footage surfaced of dated PWG promos that showed him using the N-word.
No statement has been made as of yet from AEW regarding the matter. However, it was noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Excalibur was in Jacksonville on Wednesday and was prepared to appear on Dynamite. But, AEW instead decided to keep him off television and go with Taz.
“I know he made it to Florida, but he wasn’t used. I don’t know if it’s like Sammy Guevara where he’s suspended for 30 days off or longer, or ever of if he’s not going to be used. I don’t know the answers yet.”
The videos that resurfaced earlier this week were from old PWG footage, which showed Excalibur use the N-word in a promo at a live event which also featured WWE Superstar Kevin Owens.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Excalibur and his status with AEW.
