The Bellator “Fightsphere” has a new opponent for Adam Borics for his bout at Bellator 243 in the form of promotional newcomer Mike Hamel after Derek Campos was removed from the bout for undicslosed reasons as reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.com.
Borics is coming off his first professional loss when he was submitted via Rear Naked Choke by Darrion Caldwell at Bellator 238, a bout he entered riding a 14 fight win streak with finishes of Anthony Taylor, Teodor Nikolov, Josenaldo Silva, Aaron Pico & Pat Curran.
Hamel (7-3-0) has fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance as well as Combate Americas in the lead up to his Bellator debut with his last fight being under the Fierce FC banner where he won a unanimous decision over Fabio Serrao.
Bellator 243 will be Main Evented by a Lightweight rematch between former Bellator Lightweight World Champion Michael Chandler & former UFC lightweight World Champion Benson Henderson. Chandler took the first fight via split decision.
