Former Strawweight champion moving divisions.
Fomer UFC Strawweight champion Jessica Andrade has decided to go up in weight to ply her trade in the Flyweight division & on October 17th the lady to welcome her will be former title challenger Jessica Eye as reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
Andrade (20-8) who won the Strawweight title in May, 2019 when she famously dropped Rose Namajunas on her head for a very rare KO via Slam has fought at Flyweight & Bantamweight in her career however she feels her best may yet still like in her new division.
Eye who challenged Valentina Shevchenko for the Flyweight championship only 3 fights ago has gone 1-1 since then however she missed weight in both those bouts. She will be keen to find her groove again & looks to start the ball rolling with this fight.
The as yet unannounced UFC card on Saturday October 17th at a location TBA with the Main Event still TBD.
