Timur Valiev has been withdrawn from his UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahnazyan contest against Jamall Emmers & replacing him is promotional newcomer Vincent Cachero as report by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Emmers (17-5-0) is searching for a breakthrough victory in the UFC having already lost his bout against Giga Chikadze at UFC 248. He also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series on Episode 11 where he suffered a second round KO loss to Julian Erosa.
Cachero (7-2-0) is coming in having won just one of his last three fights en route to his promotional debut, he also had an extended run in the Legacy Fighting Alliance promotion going 5-2.
UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan takes place this weekend on Saturday, August 1 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Derek Brunson and Edmen Shahbazyan serving as the Middleweight Main Event, live on ESPN+.
