Ray Borg out of UFC: Brunson vs Shahbazyan fight
The bad luck story of Ray Borg has unfortunately continued as he has withdrawn for undisclosed reasons from his UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan fight against Nathan Maness & he will be replaced by Johnny Munoz as first reported by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Maness will be making his octagon debut in this fight & does so on approximately 2 weeks notice. His has only the one defeat on his professional record to Taylor Lapilus. Eleven win on his record with five of them coming via decision.
Munoz is also making his octagon debut in this bout as he is the current King of the Cage (KOTC) Bantamweight World Champion. He boasts an undefeated professional record which spans nearly 5 years, six of his ten wins have come by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan takes place this weekend on Saturday, August 1 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Derek Brunson and Edmen Shahbazyan serving as the Middleweight Main Event, live on ESPN+.
