When AJ Styles made his WWE debut in 2016, he directly jumped to the main roster. He did not start out at NXT like many signees initially do. Following his move to WWE from NJPW, many fans have wondered how a run in NXT would have been for the Phenomenal One.
Many argue that WWE did the right thing by having him join the main roster instead of NXT. Styles skipped NXT as WWE wanted him to be a big star from the first day.
On his Twitch stream, AJ Styles revealed that he would love to wrestle in NXT before he hangs up his boots.
The great thing about NXT is, you know, I wouldn’t mind going down there and wrestling NXT guys because there are so many different matchups that we could get. I want to be able to do them before I retire, too. So who knows what we’ll get next.
AJ Styles will end his career with WWE as he stated in the past. We will have to see when he finally retires.
