As was seen on both WWE RAW and SmackDown this past week, the new RETRIBUTION faction debuted, wreaking havoc while dressed in all black, wearing masks and hoodies.
It turns out that the group who tore apart the ringside area on SmackDown were not actually the people that will be playing the roles long-term. They were simply a group of extras playing the role for that particular night, so any fans who think they may have deciphered the group by their voices, mannerisms and hair may well be disappointed.
According to a report from Ringside News, even WWE themselves are still not sure who will comprise the 5 members of the group at this moment in time.
RETRIBUTION first attacked a power generator on last weeks RAW before coming to SmackDown and destroying the ring. As of this writing, there is still no word as to who they are but WWE made it apparent that one of them is a woman by her attacking a female developmental talent. It is highly unlikely WWE would sign off on a male talent attacking a female one.
There are strong rumors circling that some of the recently released WWE Superstars from back in April may be returning. Of course, many of them have signed with other promotions now, meaning the pickings would be quite slim.
The group is expected to appear on this week’s WWE RAW and SmackDown broadcasts although there is no word on when they will be unmasking.
