Jeff Hardy is set to challenge WWE Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles to a championship match at next week’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, according to Pwinsider.com.
Their report states that this angle was decided on and planned for the SmackDown episode which should have been taped last week but ended up canceled. That episode is now being taped today instead.
The SummerSlam pay-per-view event goes down on Sunday, August 23.

WWE Universal Championship: Braun Strowman (C) vs. Bray Wyatt
WWE RAW Tag Team Championships: The Street Profits (C) vs. Andrade & Angel Garza

Seth Rollins vs. Dominik Mysterio – Dominik Allowed to Use Weapons
WWE RAW Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (C) vs. Asuka
