WWE Set To Implement Virtual Fans At SummerSlam
As was reported on Wednesday night here at Bodyslam, next week’s WWE SummerSlam will be taking place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The post-SummerSlam RAW and SmackDown shows are also bset to take place at the Amway Center.
According to the @WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE will be implementing a virtual experience with fans appearing digitally in the arena. There is expected to be an “interactive experience” using over 2,500 square feet of LED board with fans appearing live.
Applications to appear on the screens will begin next week. As of this writing, there is no word on whether or not WWE will be charging fans to have their faces on TV similar to what the MLB is doing or if they’ll go a different route.
