Exclusive: Rumor Killer On Significant Creative Changes Backstage On WWE RAW
It had been reported earlier this week via Alex McCarthy and Sportskeeda that “Vince McMahon is considering making changes to RAW with Shane McMahon at the top,” and that “Bruce Prichard has been running both shows, but he’s known to want to lighten his work load.”
The report also went on to state that “Shane has also been sitting alongside his father Vince McMahon in the Gorilla Position at most main roster shows. He has been helping produce shows and pitching in his ideas as well.” Adding that “Now, one source in WWE has told me Shane is being considered to take RAW off Bruce Prichard’s hands leaving him to concentrate on SmackDown.”
I reached out to my sources about this report, and was told flat out by somebody close to the situation that there is “No truth to the report of Bruce backing away from Raw and Shane taking over..”
Not only that, but it was reported that both Shane and Vince have been in Gorilla monitoring the show, this also is not accurate as neither of them have been. It was added that “Vince hasn’t been at Gorilla in quite some time.”
You can see Alex McCarthy’s original tweet about Vince McMahon considering having Shane McMahon become the new head of RAW below.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about potential backstage changes within WWE.
