AEW Reportedly Edited Out Rey Mysterio’s Name From This Week’s Episode Of Dynamite

Rey Mysterio is said to have signed a new deal with WWE. This comes after Mysterio was reportedly working with WWE without a contract on a per appearance deal. It was rumored that AEW matched WWE’s offer, however with Mysterio returning to WWE television last week, all signs point to Mysterio having signed a new three year deal.

Interestingly enough, it appears as though AEW edited out mention of Rey Mysterio from last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

According to a report via Fightful Select, Rey Mysterio’s name was originally dropped during last night’s special episode of AEW Saturday Night Dynamite. AEW had previously taped last night’s Dynamite, however when the final cut made the air last night.. Rey Mysterio’s name did not.

It was said that Mysterio’s name was mentioned by Eddie Kingston during his in-ring promo with Butcher & The Blade and The Lucha Brothers, specifically when Kingston was speaking to Rey Fenix. AEW made the decision to edit out Mysterio’s name from the segment, but there was no reason given as to why.
