Closing Match For Tonight’s WWE SummerSlam PPV Revealed
WWE’s SummerSlam PPV is tonight. WWE had announced earlier today that the United States Championship match between Apollo Crews and MVP had been moved to the SummerSlam Pre-Show. But what wasn’t known was which match would close tonight’s SummerSlam PPV as the Main Event.
It now looks as though the WWE Universal Title match between Braun Strowman and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt will be the closing match for tonight’s SummerSlam PPV. This would be the second month in a row that WWE decided to go with Strowman and Wyatt as the main event, as the two also closed out Extreme Rules last month.
According to a report from PWInsider, Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman for the Universal Title will indeed close out tonight’s SummerSlam PPV as the final match.
Strowman vs. The Fiend for the Universal Championship will also be a falls count anywhere match. We will have to see how things go, and if their program continues past tonight heading into next week’s Payback PPV, or if things wrap up at SummerSlam.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about tonight’s SummerSlam PPV.
