Recently on Talking Smack, Big E brought up Kofi Kingston’s position in WWE. This spawned a conversation between Big E and The Miz, which The Miz has received a lot of criticism for how his response was handled.
Dave Schilling, a former writer for WWE, commented on the video of the exchange between Big E and The Miz about Kofi on Talking Smack. He confirmed the fact that nobody within WWE who had any pull believed in Kofi Kingston during his push and title run.
“I was there. I saw it. No one who had any real sway believed in Kofi.”
Schilling later added to this, and also confirmed what WWE’s original plans were for Kofi, stating:
“the plan was Kofi getting squashed by Brock from DAY ONE of his title reign. DAY ONE!”
