Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett will be joining the NXT announce team this coming week.
PWS Sources have told them that this is currently a one-shot deal and that the former leader of Nexus – who also won the very first season of NXT – has not signed any sort of full-time deal to come back to the company.
Wade Barrett, real name Stu Bennett, was released from WWE back in 2016 after informing bosses that he did not intend to renew his contract once it had expired. Since then, he has been focusing on his acting career, World Of Sport Wrestling in the UK and was most recently seen announcing for Billy Corgan’s (Smashing Pumpkins) National Wrestling Alliance promotion.
