Update On Plans For 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Class
WWE were set to host another star studded Hall Of Fame ceremony during this years WrestleMania 36 weekend, honouring the likes of Batista and JBL. Plans were obviously put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic and we have heard very little on when the ceremony will actually take place. Rumours suggested it would happen at this years SummerSlam or at the very least the week after, this weekend, when WWE announced plans to hold an event of some sort just seven days after The Biggest Party Of The Summer.
This coming weekends WWE event turned out to be the Payback pay-per-view, thus ending hopes of the WWE HOF ceremony taking place. WrestleVotes recently tweeted out saying that as fans are not expected back until at least November, WWE are now planning to induct the class of 2020 at WrestleMania 37 next year.
There has been no official statement or update as of yet from WWE. If this does turn out to be their plan it raises the question of what happens to the 2021 HOF class. Do WWE double down and have a bumper Hall Of Fame? Or do they just skip a year?
