AEW All Out featured a Casino Battle Royale with the winner receiving a future AEW World Championship opportunity.
Participants came out in four separate groups of five, with the final entrant who drew the joker card getting to be the final and 21st entrant. There had been a lot of buzz as to who might surprise everyone and turn up as a mystery participant in the match, and that was indeed the case with the person who drew the joker.
The final entrant in the Casino Battle Royale was former WWE Superstar Evan Bourne, known once again as Matt Sydal.
