As noted, WWE is cracking down on WWE Superstars using third party platforms such as Cameo and Twitch.
Dave Meltzer reported on the Wrestling Observer message board that “the straw that broke the camel’s back” with WWE officials in the lead-up to the new edict was Lana’s brand deal with Bang Energy Drinks. She has plugged the brand with commercials on Instagram. Lana’s husband Miro (Rusev) hit back at Meltzer in a foul mouthed rant.
During today’s Being The Elite, Brodie Lee made fun of this new edict, as can be seen below:
This should come as no surprise from Brodie Lee, since his arrival he has taken many shots at his previous employer. Given how ludicrous this most recent development is involving Vince McMahon and the shots they already took at All In, it was just a matter of time. I remember a press conference a few years ago, in Jacksonville, where fans were told they would be different than their competitors and not acknowledge what they would be doing…
