As we previously broke to you, Paul Heyman is back. This time Heyman is on the blue brand thanks to his alliance with current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. But it seems that their alliance together is far more than just on-screen.
According to Fightful, Heyman has been influential in how Reigns has been booked since he returned at SummerSlam. With Heyman by his side, he was able to pick up the win and reclaim the WWE Universal Champion at last Sunday’s Payback PPV from Amway Centre, Orlando, Florida, by beating ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman.
The relationship between Heyman and Reigns is being referred to as being similar to when Heyman was involved in creative for Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, and Ronda Rousey. Heyman was reportedly heavily involved in how they were creatively all handled. As far as Reigns is concerned, Heyman is credited with contributing to the revealing of himself as Reigns’ advocate on SmackDown, the finish of Payback, aswell as last week’s SmackDown promo.
