Update On Rey Mysterio’s Injury Status And Timeline For His Return
WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio suffered a torn triceps during his tag team match with his son Dominik at Payback against Seth Rollins and Murphy.
It’s said that Mysterio’s injury wasn’t a full tear of his tricep, and that he is able to undergo different treatments in order to expedite his recovery. Mysterio recently uploaded a video to his instagram account showing a treatment procedure which you can see below.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave an update on Rey Mysterio’s injury and timeline for his return. He stated that the last he had heard was that Rey Mysterio will still be out o action for at least six weeks. Mysterio will still miss the upcoming Clash of Champions PPV, but this still puts his return to the ring even sooner than previously expected.
It has also been reported that despite the recent injury to Rey Mysterio, WWE had previously been planning on keeping Dominik busy on WWE TV, as he is seen as being a big draw with the younger female demographic.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about Rey Mysterio’s recovery and timeline for his return.
