Top WWE Star Comments On WWE Stars Joining AEW
Former WWE Champion ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles has discussed his former colleagues joining AEW. He would make the following comments on his Twitch live stream:
“Listen, this is a business we’re all in. As a wrestler, you have to go where the business takes you. If you’re able to help them [your new organization] out, and they want to do business with you, then you have every reason to go for it.
As a wrestler making a business decision, you’re looking out for your best interests, it doesn’t matter what promotion in the world. There is no good or bad thing here, it all depends on how you look at it.”
AJ would also comment on former WWE superstar Rusev (now known as Miro) joining AEW, and his wife Lana still being employed by WWE.
“Because it’s a job. Why can’t two married people work in separate places? Your husband works at Pepsi, and you work at Coke? It is what it is. It’s not the first time that this has happened, and it won’t be the last.”
AJ Styles has hit the nail on the head. Miro and Lana are not the first couple to work for opposing wrestling companies and they won’t be the last. There are many examples of this dynamic, Adam Cole and Britt Baker, Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona, Cedric Alexander and Big Swole, to name a few.
Wrestling is a business, and it is better for everyone, when there are more places to make a living.
