Jericho States Matt Hardy Didn’t Suffer Injury At AEW’s All Out
On the most recent of Chris Jericho’s Saturday Night Special, Jericho went into detail on the Matt Hardy injury situation. Matt Hardy took a dramatic fall through a table and appeared to hit his head. The internet was strong with concern for Hardy, with criticism directed towards AEW due to Hardy continuing the match.
Jericho stated:
I was scared at first. Obviously it was a stunt gone wrong. I just feel whenever you’re falling from that high, we should have some more tables out there and some pads on the floor but guys are brave, and thankfully, Matt was not hurt, no matter what you hear. He did not have a concussion. He was hurt. He banged his head. But, you know, the match ended very quickly after that and, you know, no one really knows what was going on in that. Thankfully, Matt wasn’t hurt and he was on the show this week and I’m sure he’ll be on the show next week, and for many weeks to come. So I’m glad we did not have anything bad happen there.
These comments don’t necessarily line up with Matt Hardy’s wife, Reby Hardy. Reby Hardy stated that Matt “1000%” had a concussion. She also stated that if he wasn’t injured then why wasn’t he cleared to wrestle at AEW Dynamite.
It will be interesting to see how this develops, especially with Reby Hardy being on the latest Dynamite episode. Reby Hardy is very public about her husband on Twitter. She comments on all his shows and any concerns she has.
