AEW Dynamite and NXT will resume the ‘Wednesday Night Wars’ this week as Dynamite will air in its regular Wednesday time slot. Dynamite was initially supposed to air Thursday due to the NBA Playoffs, however a last minute change, means they can now air In their regular time slot.
AEW and TNT had also planned to air a one-hour special episode after the NBA Playoffs finished on Wednesday, however that will now not be necessary.
On Wednesday it will be 5 weeks since the shows last went head to head, with Dynamite being moved due to the NBA Playoffs, and NXT then being moved due to the NHL Playoffs.
AEW confirmed its move back to Wednesday on Twitter, tweeting out the following statement:
With NXT and AEW Dynamite going head to head once again, both shows are likely to suffer drops in the ratings this week, due to the added competition. Who will prevail this week in the ‘Wednesday Night Wars’?
