Ivar Of The Viking Raiders Set For Surgery Today
Ivar of the Viking Raiders is set to undergo neck surgery today.
According to Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the Viking Raiders member is set for neck surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.
Ivar suffered an injury on the September 7 episode of WWE Raw after performing a suicide dive to the outside. Ivar immediately knew something was wrong, throwing up the “X” sign for himself as the camera cut away. An audible was called for the finish and the camera did show medical staff attending to Ivar after the eight-man tag.
Ivar went on social media after to thank everyone for the well wishes and to say he will be working hard to recover:
it’s still to be seen how long Ivar will be out of action and what this will mean for the Viking Raiders moving forward. But early reports have said that Ivar could be out of action for around a year.
Here’s to a safe surgery and speedy, healthy recovery.
