During this week’s RAW, Rey Mysterio’s daughter Aalyah reached out to Murphy after he was brutalized by Seth Rollins. She placed her hand on his arm as she was getting in the ring.
Fans have been wondering whether this was the story of a possible romance storyline. It seems that is exactly the case. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that WWE is planning a romance storyline between Aalyah and Murphy.
“Why gimmick the match up [with Murphy’s interference] unless you’re trying to do this thing where somehow Aalyah is getting hooked up with Murphy. That’s the angle. She’s getting hooked up with Murphy.”
It is likely the storyline could be changed at any moment. We will have to see how they progress the story.
