Bobby Lashley In Discussions for Bare Knuckle Fight
Bobby Lashley is dominant WWE superstar, but he has also had success in the world of MMA with a fantastic 15-2 win loss record in MMA with Bellator and now he is in discussions with the Bare Knuckle Fight Championship (BKFC) to try his hand at another form of combat.
Lashley has not competed in the MMA world for 4 years, but during an interview with TV Insider, he would say he does have fights left on his Bellator contract, as well as commenting on his talks with BKFC. Here is what he had to say:
“I’m fighting until I can’t fight anymore. I just had a conversation with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship guy. We discussed going out there and doing a bare knuckle fight. I still have an agreement with Bellator. I always thought I would find my way back to WWE. When I signed my Bellator contract, I had an out clause for the WWE. It said if WWE alone offered me a contract they would relieve me from the Bellator contract. [Bellator MMA President] Scott Coker is an amazing guy. The fact he gave me that contract was just incredible. But since he gave me it, I still have fights with Bellator and can fight with them, which is a really good thing,”
BKFC is no stranger to signing fighters from various disciplines, from boxing to MMA, such as former UFC star Paige Van Zant and former boxing world champion Paulie Malignaggi, who lost his BKFC debut to Artem Lobov in 2019.
Bobby Lashley has been successful in the world of wrestling and MMA, would he also be a success in the world of bare knuckle fighting? He would certainly bet on it.
