Former NXT UK champion Pete Dunne will be returning as a “special guest” for the Heritage Cup Tournament drawing next week.
On September 10, 2020, WWE announced the relaunch of NXT UK, following production of shows for the brand being paused since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the promotion announced the NXT UK Heritage Cup tournament to crown the inaugural NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion. The tournament will take place across the next few episodes of NXT UK.
The tournament is a single-elimination eight-man tournament featuring, Flash Morgan Webster, Noam Dar, Alexander Wolfe, A-Kid, Dave Mastiff, Joseph Connors, and Trent Seven and one more name to be revealed. All matches will be held under six three-minute rounds with a 20-second break in between rounds and will be 2 out of 3 falls (pinfall, submission or countout). A DQ or KO ends a match.
We will also see the NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray go one-on-one with Piper Niven.
