Fightful Select recently held an interview with former WWE Superstar Aiden English. The discussion started with Aiden’s release from WWE and how he feels about it. Aiden stated he was very positive about the situation, and he wasn’t upset with WWE for being let go.
He made it clear that he understands the current climate, especially with Covid 19, and he was OK with the phone call he received. He stated that he knew that some people had hard calls to make, but he was surprised about the number of people who got released.
The discussion eventually went to the Simon Gotch video, in which he took shots at Enzo Amore. Aiden English was asked if he had anything bad to say about Big Cass, but Aiden stated he liked him. He did however, insult Big Cass’ cat for waking him up.
Aiden went into detail over his relationship with Vince McMahon. Aiden stated he wished he’d been more professional with Vince, in order to strengthen their relationship. He stated that he hardly got to speak to Vince due to how busy Vince is, and the only time he really got was during events. He said that those who make relationships strong with Vince, are usually the one’s who make it in WWE.
Aiden also discussed how much he enjoyed commentary and working with Michael Cole and Tom Phillips. Aiden also made it clear that he isn’t retired from the ring and is just waiting for the opportunity to get back into the ring.
Finally, he said that he wasn’t sure how the Vaudevillains was going to pan out at first, but liked how it turned out.
