AEW star Chuck Taylor made an appearance on a recent episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast.
Taylor, who is one third of the ‘Best Friends’ faction alongside Trent and indie darling Orange Cassidy, would make the following comments on the show:
“People talk about this fake, bulls**t rivalry between AEW and NXT. But they [members of the NXT roster] are all my friends. Like, common, I was actually a groomsman in Johnny Gargano’s wedding. I want them to succeed, too. Obviously, not at our expense, I hope they lose and die forever, but those are all my friends. Pretty much everyone on NXT TV I know pretty well.”
It is refreshing to hear comments like this from a prominent AEW star. The rivalry has become toxic on social media, and many AEW and NXT stars have not helped the situation. Hopefully more wrestler like Chuck Taylor will speak out to ease the tension involved in the ‘Wednesday Night Wars’.
