WWE NXT COVID-19 Outbreak Update
As first reported by Fightful Select, multiple people in WWE had tested positive for COVID- 19 during the week of September 9.
This issue is reported to have caused “significant changes” to the program plans. The issue was discussed on Wrestling Observer Radio and there are mixed reports coming from people in the WWE.
Some people within the company are stating that “nothing happened” while others are reporting that it was a big topic backstage at Monday Night’s RAW.
Jon Alba reports that this string of positive cases has led to the Performance Center cancelling training. There are still possibly people testing positive for COVID- 19 as recently as this past weekend. This does not look good for NXT’s crew at the moment.
According to Jon Alba, some people at WWE NXT were complacent about the mask policy, and many were testing positive. He also added that one of the Performance Center coaches accidentally spread the virus. Alba also noted that the outbreak may have effected the creative plans for future shows.
