AEW Dynamite Results 9/23, Two Title Matches And A familiar Face Returns

We have a Tag Team Match between Kip Sabina & Miro vs Sonny Kiss & Joey Jenella. Miro picks up the win by Submission with the hold formly known as “The Accolade” on Sonny Kiss
Eddie Kingston hits the ring to cut a short promo about facing Jon Moxley later in the night. He invites Moxley to the ring for a stare down, which is accepted. A brief interaction before refs hit the ring to split up the two
Kenny Omega is out for commentary during a singles match, Evil Uno vs Adam “Hangman” Page. The Dark order stays on the ramp to watch but Uno eventually sends them to the back. Adam Page picks up the win with the Buckshot Lariat.
Tony Schiavone is backstage trying to get a word with the Young Bucks and Matt Jackson about the Tag Team Titles. Jackson takes Schiavone’s phone and breaks it, then proceeds to throw money at him to pay for it
”Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy casually strolls down the the ring and we are set for the TNT Title Match. Champion Mr. Brodie Lee vs Orange Cassidy. Cassidy tries to get in some offense but it’s pretty much a route from Brodie Lee.
Cassidy is rolling and gets a close 2 BUT In the end Brodie Lee wins with the Discus Clothesline.
Then the Lights then go out and it’s the RETURN of The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes! Who clears the ring of the Dark Order
Birthday Boy Matt Hardy comes out with Private Party to talk about who attacked him. Chris Jericho is his prime suspect And says “You May be the demo God but you’re still a A**Hole”.
Le Champion hits the ramp with The Inner Circle as the crowd sings along to Judas to deny Hardy’s allegations and say he wants him in a match.
Without Hardy being cleared to compete Isiah Kassidy issues a challenge next week for a match against Jericho
After commercial Tony Schiavone is in the ring interviewing Tully Blanchard and FTR when they are interrupted by Trent and Chuck of The Best Friends who want a title shot tonight. However, FTR doesn’t accept and says they will have to wait until next week
Next is a Tag Team Woman’s match with Ivelisse and Diamante vs NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa and AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida. Thunder Rosa paying tribute to Road Warrior Animal with her face paint
good action back and forward, the end comes when Hikaru Shida hits the running knee strike for the win
We cut to a Backstage interview with Chris Jericho about the challenge from Kassidy, which he accepts, that gets interrupted by MJF.
it’s now Main Event Time, Eddie Kingston vs Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship. It’s a brawl that goes in and out of the ring with a few close finishes. Jon Moxley applies the Bulldog choke as Kingston passes out and the ref calls for the bell. And STILL your AEW Champion, Jon Moxley
After the match Lucha Bros come out and attack Moxley. Will Hobbs attempts to help but is laid out. Next out is Darby Allin who clears the ring but is attacked by Ricky Starks. The show ends with Lucha Bros, Eddie Kingston and Ricky Starks standing over Moxley, Allin and Hobbs
