Wrestling Icon Road Warrior Animal Passes Away, 1960-2020
It is with our understanding and deep regret that we inform you that Joseph Michael Laurinaitis, better known as Road Warrior Animal has passed away at the age of 60 years old.
Animal was best known for being one half of the legendary tag team The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom alongside Road Warrior Hawk, Michael Hegstrand, who also died in October 2003. They captured many world tag team titles together including the NWA and WWE world tag team championships.
The duo were icons to wrestling fans throughout the world before they even joined Vince McMahon’s WWE in 1990 as the Road Warriors competed all over the planet.
But it was after signing for the billionaire their star power reached its peak with their spiked ring attire earning supporters from everywhere.
Hulk Hogan, a friend of Animal, tweeted earlier on:

Animal, brother to John Laurinaitis (Johnny Ace) former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations for World Wrestling Entertainment, leaves behind 3 children.
It is unknown at the time of writing what the cause of death it.
