For better or for worse, the WWE faction know as Retribution continues to stay on the tip of people’s tongues. It started yesterday when “Slapjack” formerly known as Shane Thorne took to twitter and defended his name change and it would seem other members are attempting to embrace the criticism.
When Retribution showed back up on Raw this past week the internet went absolutely nuts with backlash and comparisons to other characters from the world of entertainment. Even RAW’s Network got in on it via Twitter.
This of course isn’t the first time a WWE “character” has received the looks like Bane treatment…
Retribution member “T-Bar” better known to wrestling fans as Dominik Dijakovic took to Twitter this morning to channel his inner Bane.
This, of course, is a rewording of Banes speech from The Dark Knight Rises.
I’ll say one thing, all members involved in Retribution should be getting all the credit in the world for attempting to take the gimmick they have been given and run with it despite all the criticism. Which has come in fast and heavy. Will “Mace” be the next one to defend his name?
