A report has circulated by Inside The Ropes which confirms WWE are close to bringing in new names for NXT UK. With the pandemic still ongoing, WWE have set up a training camp in London for the talent to train for TV tapings. The training camp has brought these new talents in so they can have a look at them before deciding.
BT Sport Studios is the home of the TV recordings for NXT UK, and having all the talent in one spot is the best way to ensure safety. One of the talents who has reportedly signed for WWE is Irish wrestler Adam Maxted, but he wasn’t present for the tapings. Maxted has worked for World of Sport and Insane Championship Wrestling.
One of the next talents being offered a contract is Sha Samuels. Sha was offered a contract back in January, but it was withdrawn due to injury. Aleah James is also being considered and was in attendance at the last lot of TV tapings.
Another name who is at the camp and is being considered is Molly Spartan. Spartan is currently in a relationship with NXT UK Tag Team Champion Wolfgang. Also, former Impact Wrestling wrestler Gursinder Singh is in attendance a the camp.
The report from Inside The Ropes also states that WWE are looking at a “prominent” but unnamed talent from the UK wrestling scene. Along with these signings, the company is looking to bring in new backstage staff and also referees with Rich Swift being signed last week. All of these talents and staff got tested for covid-19 and the results should be available today (September 27th)
