WWE Raw Preview 9/28
Good afternoon IWC… First off, I want to apologize for my coverage article last night. Bodyslam.net was experiencing technical issues(real ones, this isn’t Retribution coming for me because I think they suck) and my article suffered because of it. I will be posting a recap later today.
BUT…it is Monday! That means that Raw will be on our TV screens tonight and we will be watching with bated breath as we prepare for Hell In A Cell and a talent draft, next month. Teasers have been limited so far but here’s what we can expect tonight, from the Red Brand!
Hell In A Cell Build
October 25th will be WWE’s PPV Event, Hell In A Cell and with two feature matches set for the steel structure, it’s anyone’s guess who on Raw will get the nod. After last night’s WWE Championship match, we saw numerous legends show up to spoil the party for The Legend Killer. Can Orton bait the WWE Champion into one last title opportunity in the Cell? I certainly hope so!
Last Profits Standing
After last night’s Raw Tag Title Match, we have learned that Angel Garza has suffered an injury that will Andrade without his partner and one of the last tag teams on the red brand, shelved for the future. What does this mean for the Raw Tag Champs as the division has been left desolate and decimated? The Street Profits certainly stand alone for the time being but with the WWE Draft looming, only time will tell as to who will challenge the young champions.
Business is Still Good
As the CEO of the Hurt Business stood tall in the board room last night, it was another slam dunk for the Almighty Bobby Lashley as he cruised through his match with Apollo Crews. It’s hard to say who will step up to the challenge but there is certainly intrigue in the fact that Braun Strowman has been lurking around Raw recently. Will a gargantuan match take place between The Almighty and The Monster Among Men? Does Strowman have gold in his sights once more?
Is Anyone Ready for Asuka?
Last night was certainly an eventful night as three stars from the women’s division were pulled from the card, including the Tag Champs. After successfully defeating Zelina Vega for the Raw Women’s Championship, it would appear that a moment of respect would be shared between Champion and Challenger; until Vega drove a stiff kick into The Empress of Tomorrow, declaring that last night was not the end. Will we see a continuation of last night’s action? Is anyone on Raw, Ready for Asuka?
Retribution: The Story So Far
Spoiler… I don’t like Retribution so far. It’s Nexus 3.0 with Bane masks that don’t fit and a mouthpiece that only makes sense on Twitter. I need more. I need more anarchy, I need more answers, I need more honesty. This isn’t Batman, people don’t hide behind masks when they wish to be heard; certainly, not after signing contracts with the company, they vow to destroy. Retribution could be a force on the red brand but objective misdirection and bluntly, poor booking. have left this stable of talented performers in the lurch and taking beatings by the likes of the Hurt Business. Could Retribution be a name tossed into the tag division dilemma Raw is dealing with? it would be a choice, best for business as the Red Brand is certainly drawing at straws.
