Triple H Talks Covid Outbreak Within WWE On NXT Takeover Media Call
Over the past week, WWE shows including NXT has been missing wrestlers from its shows. While WWE has come out and given a formal statement about the absences, that hasn’t stopped rumor mill from circulating that it’s due to a Covid-19 outbreak.
Today, HHH was on a conference call to talk about NXT Takeover 31 and the first question asked was about Covid issues within the company. Hunter has this to say
At any given time things can change and you’ve seen that recently. Nobody can control this situation and nobody is going to be able to stop this pandemic and Covid, we’re doing the best to keep our performers safe. Our staff, everybody safe. The situations where positives come up and we then go back, very extensively contract trace. We then go back and quarantine those people. This is all for the safety and well being of everybody.
This comes on the heels of praise being given by WarnerMedia about how AEW has handled the pandemic.
Only time will tell if the number of absences from WWE programming will continue to grow
