Bully Ray was on Busted Open Radio during his weekly recap of The for now “Wednesday Night War” between AEW & NXT and gave high praise to AEW wrestler Maxwell Jacob Friedman, aka MJF.
If there was anybody in the wrestling business right now who could live up to, work up to, superstar potential and a future, it’s MJF. MJF has what it takes to be Cena-esq, Rock-esq.”
He spoke on what MJF and AEW need from one another for Maxwell to reach superstar potential.
MJF is good and you know how MJF is gonna get better in the ring? Working with guys who are better than him. I don’t mean Better physically, I don’t mean better spot wise, better psychology wise. Better story telling wise. The sky is the limit for MJF, what MJF needs is for AEW to become as big as they possibly can, as quick as they possibly can. The bigger that company gets, the bigger of a star MJF can become.
Then Bully played the “What If” game on MJF being with the competition.
Think about MJF in the WWE, if WWE were to just let MJF be MJF, how big of a superstar do you think he’d become? He’s the one guy from AEW that I think could become the biggest superstar in the WWE if he wasn’t tampered with.
It seems to many that MJF has that “it” factor and at only 24 years of age, he’s got the time to grow. What will he become? We will all have to wait and see.
