Former ECW, WWE And WCW Wrestler Battling Cancer Is Hospitalized
Former WWE, WCW and ECW wrestler Tracey Smothers has been hospitalised due to complications arising from his ongoing fight against Cancer.
Smothers is suffering from Lymphoma, and former WWE star The Blue Meanie would update the wrestling world on Twitter, sending his well wishes:
Tracey Smothers has wrestled under various different names, he would compete under his own name in WCW, he and his long time partner Steve Armstrong, would even feud with the Fabulous Freebirds. His WWE career was less eventful, working under the monicker Freddie Joe Floyd, a ‘babyface jobber’ who would put over up and coming heels, such as Hunter Hurst Helmsley and even Stone Cold Steve Austin. Smothers did have one very notable win during his two year tenure in WWE, defeating Justin ‘Hawk’ Bradshaw aka John Bradshaw Layfield.
We here at Bodyslam would like to wish Tracey Smothers well, and hope he is able to make a full recovery from this horrible illness.
