This years WWE Draft is due to start in just over 24 hours time and it seems to be an action packet few days. As previously announced this years draft will take place during 2 nights, the first being tomorrow’s Friday Night Smackdown which will be live on FOX and the second night will be on the following Monday Night RAW live on the USA Network.
FOX sports has released the rules of this years WWE Draft, as well as the which Superstars will be in which pool. WWE has separated superstars and tag teams into either the ‘Friday Night Pool’ or the ‘Monday Night Pool.’
Similar to last year, we will see WWE Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon, announce the draft picks for both Smackdown aswell as RAW.
Executives at both FOX and USA Network have been working with WWE Management over the past few weeks in regard to their preferences for draft picks.
Here’s what has been disclosed to what the rules are this year:
• More than 60 Male Superstars, Female Superstars and Tag Teams have been placed into The 2020 WWE Draft
• Since Friday Night SmackDown is a two-hour show and Monday Night RAW is a three-hour show, for every two picks SmackDown has, RAW will get three picks
• Tag Teams still count as one pick unless FOX or USA Network (in conjunction with WWE Officials) wants to pick one Superstar from the team
• Any undrafted Superstars will immediately be declared free agents and be able to “sign” with the brand of their choosing

As of this writing it looks as if there are no plans for NXT to be part of the WWE Draft after all.
A tweet sent out from the official WWE Twitter account that NXT would indeed be part of the draft but the tweet has been deleted. Apparently, this was just an error by their social media team and NXT will not be involved.
