Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another Friday here at Bodyslam.net! Usually Friday’s mean that we’re in for a treat as Smackdown airs tonight, but we are also treated to Night 1 of WWE’s Superstar Draft! It’s a toss up as to what tricks will be had during this two night extravaganza but at the very least, the landscape of the Main Roster will change heading into the holiday season, and more importantly, WrestleMania season.
Regardless of drafting, tricks and treats; tonight’s Smackdown was already a jam-packed treat, and just in case you weren’t already salivating over the draft, here’s a sneak peek at tonight’s featured in-ring action…
Otis set to defend his MItB Contract…In Court?
It’s no secret that the Smackdown Slime-ball, The Miz and his sexually translated partner in crime, Johnny Drip-Drip have been itching to get their hands on Otis’ Money In The Bank Contract; citing that Otis is not credible or serious enough for such a gift. They have gone so far as to even draw up legal action against the Heavy Machinery Man. With his deadline looming, it appears that the blue-collar big man will have his day in court and take on Miz & Morrison wherever it may be! Is the MItB contract at risk?
Kevin Owens v. The Fiend
After two weeks of torment by the Clown Prince of WWE, Kevin Owens has finally had his fill and will return to Smackdown tonight to challenge The Fiend one on one. Owens has been adamant that he will not stop until he gets his hands on Him but tonight may be his only shot with the shifting landscape of the draft. Will it be Fight Owens Fight or has The Fiend only yet to reveal his plan?
Big E v. Sheamus: Falls Count Anywhere
After being set up and sent home, Big E has been patiently waiting for his opportunity to exact revenge on The Celtic Warrior, and tonight’s Smackdown may be his opportunity. Tonight will feature the two big bulls of the Blue Brand facing off in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. With an impending scenery change in the near future, a victory tonight would certainly aid to Big E’s momentum if sent to the Red Brand. Can the Cinderella Story continue for Big E?
Sasha Banks v. Bayley: Smackdown Women’s Title Match
As if tonight’s episode couldn’t be more action-packed, WWE went and threw in a WrestleMania Main Event type title match. It is finally time for Bayley to face the music as she is set to go one on one with her former best friend, Sasha Banks. Now it is my opinion that this story is far from over, no matter the result tonight, but with both HIAC matches planned for this months PPV Event, we have to assume that WWE has bigger plans for these two and this is merely a taste of what is yet to come! I’m still excited, regardless, as I remember their NXT Broadway… DNezz wants more.
