On Monday night RAW, we saw the second and final night of the WWE draft. During this round of the draft, the Street Profits were drafted to SmackDown, and as we saw on Smackdown two thirds of the New Day Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods were drafted to RAW last week. Now the problem with this was, the RAW tag team champions were now on Smackdown, and the Smackdown tag team champions were on raw. So in a backstage segment, the two teams were told switch titles, by WWE official Adam Pearce.
The Street Profits’ RAW tag team title reign lasted 225 days. The New Day’s reign was only three days as they just won the titles on last Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
There was speculation WWE we’re looking to unify the RAW and Smackdown tag team titles, but for now it looks like both sets of championships will remain active.
